Digis, digis everywhere!

Whenever I print a digi out for a card I always fill the rest of the a4 card with other digis to colour and use at a later date. These 'spare' digis get put in a basket in my desk... They have built up quite a bit!!

Well, I finally got round to colouring my digis!!!

I always find if easier to get a couple of coordinating papers and then colour the image according to the colours on those papers. I put the images and the papers in separate envolopes to keep everything together.

Here are a few of my favourite digis - I love saturated canary images!! You can see that I've matched the colours to the papers.

Now everything is coloured it's just a case of making up each card!! Here's a few I've done. Enjoy!x

New home card and a few more birthdays!

April is a busy month!! More birthdays at work and a few in the family! This new commitment to do a card for everyone is certainly getting the creative juices flowing!

'Congratulations on your new home' card for my best friend, digi stamp (can't remember where from I'm afraid!!) coloured with promarkers. Sentiment made in Word and colour matched to the backing paper.

A nice clean and simple (CAS) card, 9 squares of coordinated papers mounted in black, 9th square is cut through and has acetate in the window, happy birthday stamped on the inner square.

A pretty floral CAS card, the stamps came free with a magazine ages ago. Coloured with promarkers.

The benefit of making them for everyone at work is that none of them an be the same!! Definitely a challenge! X

2 birthdays and a baby!!

Hello!!!

I vowed that this year I would make a conscious effort to make more cards – a list of birthdays came round for my office and I decided that I would make everyone  I work with a birthday card. That, ontop of family birthday cards should give me at least a couple a month that I need to do!!

I am slowly seeing my crafting mojo returning and I am enjoying making cards again. As hubby reminded me, there was a point last year where I had a strop about not being able to get something right, threw my tools down and walked away from my desk. My desk stayed that way for months!! Not like me at all!!! Thank goodness my mojo is coming back!!

So I thought I’d share a few cards I have been making recently – Ive had 2 female birthdays and a new baby card to make – and LOVED doing them!!

The flower digis were free – I have no idea where from I’m afraid, I just googled ‘free flower digi’ and trawled around to find what I wanted!

The baby elephant digi is from pink petticoat – take a look at the website HERE for some SUPER cute digis images and sentiments!

I'm back!!!!!! (Again!)

Its been a while! About 18 months! Can't believe how fast time has gone!!

Well, It's been almost 6 months since my wedding - and I know it's a cliche and that EVERY bride says it, but it was the best day of my life! Hand on heart I can honestly say that nothing went wrong!!

It goes without saying that I made all my own stationary and paper based items for the big day, as well as a few non paper bits too! so I'll let you take a gander at some of my hard work!

Magnetic Save the dates:
We didn't know the colour scheme at this point so kept it simple!

Invites:
Silver pocketfolds with teal and navy matting. Ivory embossed dress, pearl necklace, ribbon belt, teal satin tie with a tiny real black button on the tux!!

Order of service:

Table names:
On the reverse if the menus.

Table plan:
On the reverse if out chalkboard!

Chalkboard signs:

I also made my own fimo cake toppers:
Fry, Leela and nibbler from futurama.

My Harry Potter ring 'pillow':
On chapter 6 as we were in our 6th year together when he proposed!

Grandparent Charms for my bouquet:

Post wedding - A decoration for our Xmas tree using hubby's dried buttonhole and some of our confetti:

I also made reserved signs, 'please take the flowers' signs, special thankyou cards for both sets of parents, my husband and bridesmaids, I made my two tier veil and beaded my own veil comb.

It was super important to me that I could include handmade elements into our day as that is a big part of who I am. The futurama cake toppers were a surprise for my husband, he LOVES futurama so I did these in secret and revealed them on the big day. He loved them!! Little did I know that he was going to call me his 'leela' in his speech!! Awwww. We are also massive movie geeks - our music was movie themed, as was my ring holder and the table names too!! (There were 2 more but they got taken home by guests!!) Gold stars to anyone who can name where the pub/bar names are from!!

Well, that's the crafty side of the wedding recapped with a quick look at the crafty things that I made. I'm planning on blogging more regularly now I haven't got a wedding to prep for, so prepare to hear from me more often! Lol!!

Thanks for reading!! I'd love to hear hat you think of everything I made! Speak soon!!!xx
